My Family and I were invited to the opening night of Cirque Du Soleil for their South Florida tour stops! The show currently touring South Florida is called OVO. I have never been to a Cirque Du Soleil show before so I was a little unsure of what to expect. Leaving the arena tonight some of the words from my family were “AMAZING”, “WOW” and “THAT SHOW WAS SO COOL”. So what is mom’s opinion of Cirque Du Soleil OVO? I personally thought this was one of the most amazing shows I have ever attended, the talent these performers have is just out of this world!

There were performers who juggled large Kiwi on their feet and then juggled each other. They were throwing each other back and forth all while laying on the ground and only using their feet. They never missed a beat.
The main characters that host the show are a ladybug, a fly (well we think thats what he is) and a caterpillar. My daughter’s favorite was the ladybug of course. These characters are actually pretty funny throughout out the whole show. They had both the kids and adults laughing non-stop.

Then you have the performers who do all kinds of tricks. Their talent is truly amazing. I can’t tell you how many times I was sitting there wondering how in the world did they pull that off. Just when you thought you had seen it all another amazing performer would take the stage.

Then there was this performer, he had me biting my fingers nails as we rode a unicycle on his head, and if that doesn’t sound like enough he was riding on a teeny tiny super skinny wire. I wonder how much practice and training has to go into this act.

Another fun part of the show was when they brought someone from the audience up on stage to play along with the caterpillar and the fly! She jumped right into the roll and had everyone laughing! My youngest kept saying “I wish I was on stage”. I should have known that was going to come out of her mouth, my little performer loves to be on stage!

The final act was simply AMAZING! By far my favorite act. It involved a rock wall and trampolines. The performers bounced from the rock wall onto the trampolines and back up, all in perfect sync while other performers were doing flips all over the place! A few of them did 5-10 flips right in a row.

When we were first invited to the show I wasn’t sure the kids would enjoy it, boy was I wrong. They loved it. There was a lot of other children in the audience as well. There was also a lot of couples of all ages! This show would be great for a family outing or for date night or heck even girls night out!
